This is Ciaran. I stopped him on the street and asked because I was really intrigued by his jacket and personal style. He explained to me that this jacket used to belong to his dad in the 1970's and was now his and it was very special to him because it holds a part of his dad's life story. I was very interested to hear more about the story behind this jacket and asked if it was ok to interview him in a cafe round the corner, which very kindly he agreed to.
- Ciaran O' Donahue, 20 years old, History Student
- Wearing a jacket which belonged to his dad who was an anarchist in his youth and is now in the police force (very ironic story!)
- The jacket was bough by his dad in his teens and he is now 47
- His dad hand painted his favourite band names onto the jacket including The Pogues, The Stranglers and Crass
- The dad rode a motorbike, hence wore a biker jacket
- Ciaran was 17 when he started wearing it
- It is his most precious item of clothing
- This is because it symbolises his dad's past and their strong relationship with each other
- Some of the band names he put on were later scratched off because he stopped liking the band or thought they were offensive
- Ciaran's personal style has a blue colour palette, he is naturally drawn to that colour and really likes the jacket because of it
