I used the same basic dress structure again, but this time the detailing on my designs came from typical Work-men's uniforms. When I see the colours neon green or orange and silver reflective fabric, I automatically associate them with the jackets of construction workers and city cyclists. I thought it would be interesting to translate the basic structure and details of workman's clothing into high-end womenswear. I also experimented with making a two-piece, to explore the diversity of this basic design structure. As with my tracksuit-inspired designs, there is an interesting contrast between stereotypical masculinity (from the associations with work-wear), and provocative femininity (from the short lengths and revealing shapes).
